Overview
Playoffs for the 8U, 9U, 10U and Middle School divisions start on Saturday May 14. The playoff rules and schedules are listed below by age group. The league will not be holding a closing ceremony/parade this year.
Seeding
Seeding for playoffs is determined by the regular-season standings. Standings are calculated by points where Win=2 points, Tie=1 point, Loss=0 points. If two or more teams have the same number of points in the standings, they are resolved in order of:
- head-to-head
- runs allowed head-to-head
- runs allowed overall
- strength of schedule
NOTE: In the case of a tie, the standings that our scheduling system automatically computes for 9U-MS are not necessarily the final standings. The scheduler will determine the seeding results after the last regular season games have been played and posted here.
8U Playoffs
Rules: The 8U Rules are still in effect for the playoffs and championship game with the following exceptions:
- Playoffs (including 3rd place game): No new inning after 75 minutes, finish the current inning, no run limit in the third and subsequent innings
- Championship: Four innings, no time limit, no run limit in the fourth and subsequent innings
International tie-breaker rules in effect.
Seeding: Seeding for playoffs will be based on the results of the last five regular season games for each team.

International tie-breaker rules are used when a regulation game ends in a tie. For playoff games, this occurs when the teams are tied after completing the required number of innings or after reaching the time limit for that age group. There is no time limit for championship games.
At the beginning of each team's at-bat, the last batter from the previous inning is placed on second base. This is the last batter, not the last out. For example, the player with the last at-bat in the 7th inning would go to second base at their team's at-bat for the 8th inning. If the number 5 batter is the lead-off batter, the number 4 batter goes to second base. Each batter starts with a zero count (0 balls / 0 strikes).
It is not sudden death. Each team has an opportunity to bat each inning. The game ends when one team is ahead at the end of an inning. If the game is still tied after eight innings, then the last batter from 8th inning is the player on second base at the start of that team's at-bat for the 9th inning, and so on.
Pitching restrictions are lifted during the tie-breaker innings only. The coach can determine who to pitch in the tie-breaker innings and those innings do not count towards that pitcher's limit for the week.
